Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance in Chicago office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will initially oversee a current staff of sixteen individuals with three direct reports.
The Vice President, Finance is responsible for formulating, implementing and directing financial plans, policies and activities, which successfully provide the most advantageous allocation of the companys resources.
Maintaining the companys fiscal integrity.
Providing strong oversight of financial controls, measurements, and systems.
Developing concise, timely and effective analysis & reporting of financial and operating performance for use by senior management.
Partnering with the President(s) as well as other members of the executive team, and by developing rapport and credibility quickly, exert a strong influence in the operating aspects of the company.
Analyzing and reviewing operating costs while initiating projects to reduce costs and increase profitability throughout the business.
Developing financial analysis and processes to better understand proactively what is happening in the business.
In all, bringing more sophisticated, progressive leadership to the companys financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

A successful, proven track record as the financial leader of a medium-sized manufacturing or distribution company.
Strong operational finance experience is highly desirable.
Outstanding financial acumen.
Exceptional leadership qualities, including a tough, but fair mentality; a common sense, hard-working approach; and a team-oriented, informal and flexible style.
A C.P.A distinction is required.

COMPENSATION
Highly attractive compensation package consisting of a base salary, incentive bonus opportunity, and other benefits, including equity participation. Assuming outstanding performance on this individuals part, the successful candidate will have opportunities to assume broader responsibilities.
