The Process/Quality Engineer develops processes to manufacture products according to customer specifications, develops process control plans, fmeas, and inspection plans. This individual recommends for approval, implements, monitors, and maintains manufacturing engineering plans, procedures, and policies to ensure that the company continually strengthens its competitive edge.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for developing processes to manufacture customers product and validating them versus original quotation. - Responsible for identifying manufacturing process needs including process, fixture and gauging needs and working with Prototype and Tooling Group to design, manufacture and validate the fixtures and gages. - Responsible for reviewing customer model/prints for tolerancing and any concerns in meeting customer specifications in manufacturing. - Responsible for developing control plans, work instructions, inspection plans, and fmeas to support production launch. - Responsible for validating accuracy of cost and process information in (MRP) system. - Troubleshoot any quality and manufacturing issues that may arise.
Requirements: - BS in Engineering or similar job related experience - 5+ years experience in Process, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering - Experience with Sheet Metal Fabrication
