Role of Position Recommend and facilitate improvements to the quality of data used in the CFOs Office. Will combine business and data quality analysis expertise to improve customer satisfaction. As a member of a department project team will provide data quality analytical and systems analysis support to ensure data suppliers understand their data quality responsibilities and how best to improve the quality of their data.
Level Scope: (Principle Accountabilities)
Principle duties and responsibilities of this job classification: Identify opportunities to improve data quality and act on them. Review quality dimension measurements for data housed in the data warehouse(s). Recommend improvements to data acquisition, storage, extraction processes, and, controls and tests designed to monitor and improve data quality. Make recommendations to appropriate CFO office data suppliers and customers for enhancements to systems of record to improve accuracy, validity, trust, completeness, timeliness and relevance. Review current RDBMS and historical data (data sets) in coupled tables for data consistency and best source of truth. Position-specific Accountabilities:2 Duties and responsibilities specific to this position/desk: Resolve data quality problems. Provide quality assurance oversight to data flow and storage. Provide data quality advisory service to the CFOs office and data element suppliers. Measure CFO Office data quality. Monitor data quality process flows, dictionaries, and documentation. Provide appropriate data quality support and training to CFO office and supplier personnel. Measure the benefits of data quality improvements. Support adherence to CFO and GMAC-RFC data privacy policies and procedures.
Education and experience requirements: Education level: Bachelors degree Major field of study: Quality Management, Business Systems, Economics. Certifications or special training desired; Quality Improvement Techniques, Six Sigma Green Belt, experience in mortgage processing, credit risk analysis, and/or loan processing. Total years and type of prior related experience: 1-3 years Position-specific requirements:2 Knowledge of customers business requirements development, and data extraction and flow. Ability to maintain GMAC-RFC climate of collaboration and teamwork. Negotiation skills capable of resolving and implementing data quality improvements that add value to the CFOs office, GMAC-RFC, and stakeholders. Ability to understand and use skills to identify and solve data quality challenges using the TIQM, and the problem-solving process of PDCA. Experience with population and accuracy testing and control. Knowledge Application Ability to understand and use computational theories and practical skills to identify and solve data quality challenges. Knowledge of TIQM practices, QC/QA procedures including Six Sigma problem solving techniques a plus.
